Adjective:

-Having a hard outer shell.

-Having the reddish brown color of bricks or baked clay.

From Latin testaceus (from testa ‘tile’) + -ous. Mid 17th century.

Used in a sentence:

“The bells growing louder as the truck crept closer to his block, Fendrel eagerly anticipated the testaceous chocolate of his favorite ice-cream cone.”
